Welcome to the Charlotte North Rotary Club!
We are a group of individuals from all walks of life who are committed to the Rotary International Principle of Service Above Self. Members "roll up their sleeves" and work to make Charlotte a better place to work. Our service projects entail collaborations with Heal Charlotte, Trees Charlotte, Opera Carolina, and Hidden Valley Elementary School. We raise funds for these organizations through a variety of fundraisers. Camaraderie is important to the group and we regularly break bread for lunch and meet for after hours social and recreational activities.
The 2024-2025 presidential theme is The Magic of Rotary. Devised by Rotary International President Stephanie Urchick, the theme "The Magic of Rotary" was evident when she was helping install water filters in the Dominican Republic. Two boys were watching as dirty water entered the filter then ran out clean at the other end. "one of the boys grabbed my sleeve and said, 'Show me the magic again'," she said. "Obviously, the water filter wasn't magic. Rotary worked hard to transport those filters, install them, and work with community leaders in the area to maintain them. But those boys knew that easy access to clean water would change their lives. Knowing that I played a small part in that certainly changed my life."
With over 46,000 member clubs worldwide, and a membership of 1.4 million individuals, we know Rotarians can make a huge difference in people's lives. We invite you to join us for our club's regular meetings the 1st Monday of the Month at The Rusty Bucket Restaurant at 12:00 Noon; 2nd and 3rd Mondays of the month on ZOOM at 12:30 p.m.; and at a new and trendy restaurant as part of "Adventures in Dining" the 4th Monday of the month at 12:00 Noon. We also welcome your participation in any of our service projects.
